Kia Levey-Burden,
LMSW
Technical Assistance Consultant
Kia Levey-Burden, LMSW, is a strategic advisor, technical assistance and capacity-building consultant with more than a decade of work alongside nonprofits, government agencies, and community-based organizations. Through Launch Consulting, the firm she founded, she designs and delivers the practical work that helps mission-driven organizations function better — strategic plans they can actually implement, leadership development for the people running the work, facilitated processes that move groups toward decisions, and the organizational infrastructure that holds it together. Much of her work sits at the intersection of community wellbeing, family systems, and public safety, including deep community convening with municipal governments and capacity building for leaders whose organizations operate in the community violence intervention and prevention space.
Kia currently serves as a Technical Assistance Consultant to DHJ Services and Partnership HealthPlan of California, supporting rural health providers and CBOs through the California Rural Health Transformation (CalRHT) program. There she leads partnership-development strategy sessions, reviews grant proposals and budgets, and runs office hours and webinars on grant writing and cross-sector collaboration — helping applicants translate complex requirements into competitive, workable proposals.
